About
A locksmith whose number before you commit.
Mobile across Walnut Creek and the valley around it, any hour, with one number that already contains everything. Here is how the work runs and what is put in writing.

Ridgeline Lock & Key is a mobile locksmith for Walnut Creek and the Diablo Valley, named for the line of Mt Diablo that stands over the town and, as it happens, for the cut profile a key machine leaves along a blank. There is no shop, because the lock is never in the shop. The van carries what doors here actually take: easy-turn deadbolts and lever handles that meet Rossmoor hardware standards, mortise and knob parts for the 1950s houses in Walnut Heights and Parkmead, gate and detached-garage hardware for the long driveways above Castle Rock Rd, hookbolts, deadlatches and closers for the glass storefronts around Broadway Plaza and Locust St, exit devices and access control for the Shadelands buildings and the medical suites along Ygnacio Valley Rd, and blanks and programmers for most of what is parked in the BART garage. Calls are answered 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays.
The pricing exists so you can do the arithmetic once and then stop thinking about it. Every job carries an $89 service call that lives inside the number you are given rather than sitting underneath it as a separate line. Lockouts, rekeys, replacements, smart locks, safes and car keys are quoted from published ranges, and the exact figure for your door is set on the call. An arrival between 8pm and midnight adds $40, an arrival between midnight and 7am adds $75, and both are already counted before you agree to anything. Master key systems and access control are quoted in writing after the doors are walked. Workmanship is warranted for ninety days, parts carry their manufacturer warranty and are named on the receipt, and if we cannot help you nothing is charged.
Coverage runs from one end of the valley to the other. Downtown and Broadway Plaza see the van in about 12 minutes, Walnut Heights in 14, Parkmead in 15, Saranap and Ygnacio Valley in 16, Northgate in 18 and Shadelands in 20. Rossmoor is quoted at 24 because of the gate check-in, and the hill streets above Castle Rock Rd run longer still, which is said plainly on the call rather than discovered by you at minute thirty. Across the roughly twenty square miles of the city the average is 18 minutes. Alamo, Pleasant Hill, Lafayette, Concord and Danville are covered at the same figures, and for those addresses the window quoted on the call is the one to plan around.
